Not Good!!!

Having a couple of glasses of wine to celebrate was not a good idea.  One glass lead to another and you guessed it another and then I found a big box of celebrations (when did they start putting twix in them) when I had found and finished ALL the twix, I searched and ate ALL  the  mars ones :-(   Once I started I couldnt stop. I spent all week trying to be so good and not using my syns but to no avail... So bad week all round. Couldnt make it to class so went to local scales.  Here's to a better week....

I am a little disapointed....

Only lost 0.5lb this week... this could be because of a number of things..

1.  I had such a good loss last week
2.  TOTM
3.  5 cans of bud shandy on sun (alto well within syn allowance 4 week)
4.  this is my body... up,down, big losses, small losses....

Am having a couple glasses of wine tonight to celebrate or commiserate....

I have lost 2 stone...

I nearly fell off the scales today when they showed I lost ... wait for it... 6lb OMG!  Yes I did say 6lb!!!! Now I didnt go to meeting last week because I was sick but I weighed on the scales in supermarket and they say I had lost 1lb... Whichever way I look at it, it is still 6lb in 2 weeks and I am so pleased about it.  

I find I have a lot of small losses and then every now and again I get a big one and when they come the feeling is wonderful..... I got the dresses I ordered and I dont think I will fit into the 16 by march, which is a shame... I would of loved to been 2 sizes smaller than I was at the wedding last september... (it was the pictures of this wedding that made my mind up to do something about my weight),

I will get there.

Tomorrow's nearly here...

and that means WI.  I have been very good this week, have stayed on track and have only maybe eaten half my syns... and I have walked 4 days. I dont think its enough to get the 3lb I have been striving for.  I have to keep postitive  and keep thinking that a loss is loss and as long as the scales are heading in the right direction I WILLget to my goal.

14's here I come...............

Well the day started well..

breakfast    wholemeal toast with marmalade and wwff yog
lunch          broc soup and slice of quiche
dinner        veg las broc and carrots
snacks       yog fruit, sml milky way 6syns

and then I started to feel really hungry..... what to have the pizza in the freezer? open the box of m&s choc biscuits? or the big bag of minstrels in the cupboard??? decisions decisons....

..... so I made a smash potatoe pizza base and added tomatoes ham and a sprinkling of cheese salt and pepper and OMG it was actually nice and better than that it was filling... Is this really free on EE???? taking the cheese as HEA. 

So I am happy with my choice, and proud of myself for not giving in to temptation and ruining my so far perfect week.  I AM going to be down into the 14's this week!!!! Havent been  there for awhile.   I also managed a 40min walk this evening, havent had one since last Thursday.

A friend of mine is getting married in 8 weeks and I have ordered a lovely dress from littlewoods in a size 18 and a 16.  Would love to be able to get in the 16 for the wedding.  Thankfully I havent got any occasions in February so if I can keep my head in the zone I might do it!!!!

Weigh in...

I went out with family on sunday and we had a 3 course meal, I was very proud of myself for starter I had chicken salad - No dressing!  followed my sea bass, veg and small scoop of mash, did let myself go a little for pudding and had profiteroles... in my defence they were very small - all 5 of them... YUM!  As always on these occasions it is the alcohol that screws my diet up... had about 6 coors light and 4 glasses of wine.. so lots of syns

Have had this awful chesty cough for the last 3 days, last night I was in bed at 10.20pm and was still awake at 2.30am...aaaarrrghhhh!!! Bloody cough!!!  So I was wrecked this morning and after dealing with 3 girls who were really trying my patience, (as children seem to have a great knack of doing when your off colour or deprived of a good nights sleep), I really didnt have the time to shower, and race to meeting for 9.30am (which is the only one I can get to) so I went to my local supermarket and weighed in there like I did before I joined sw... and I was down 1lb.  

I only managed 2 walks this week and taking alcohol into consideration (oh and the profiteroles) I am quite happy with my 1lb loss.

I have nothing planned this week that includes eating out or alcohol so I am hoping for a 3lb loss next week.

My plan to get that is

1. walk at least 4 days
2. no alcohol
3. eat more vegetables
4. mushy pea curry & super speed soup
5. more water

Im not sure if I am eating too much fruit so im going to try and eat a little less and eat a little more vegetables or salad.

I made a free shephards pie today and topped it with mashed carrots parsnip swede and sweet potato and it was really goregous, and I have not felt hungry since... usually I have to have a snack of some sort in the evening about 9pm, but I havent been tonight.

Thinkin of a change...

Sooooo happy, have stayed on track all day again today.  It all seem too easy at the minute.  Why cant it be like this all the time???  Thinking that now Ive gotten the hang of this EE plan I might try to plan for a few RED days next week, as they are suppose to give the greatest loss.  Just had a raspberry tart ww ff yogurt tipped onto a bed of raspberries and sprinkled with a few all bran golden crunch and it was devine...

Tried a few new things today....

Last night I put a pot of strawberry mullerlight in a bowl with porridge oats (magic porridge) left it in fridge over night and had it warmed for breakfast... to be honest I wasnt impressed, I thought it was very sweet and a little sickly.

I also made spaghetti carbonara from this months sw mag today for my 2 sons and they ate the lot... and the 2 girls had a bit too and seemed to enjoy it aswell, Couldnt believe how easy it was and its gonna save me a fortune on jars of sauce.

Fry bacon in frylite and add clove of garlic
add them to pan of Cooked pasta
add eggs and parmasan cheese, s&p

Had a taste myself and with a little tweeking i reackon it will lovely.

cannelloni...

Made this again today and just tweaked it a little,  it was gorgeous.

fill cannelloni tubes with
wilted spinach, cottage chesse, garlic, egg yolk, nutmeg, s&p
top with sauce made from
tin tomatoes, pasata, onion, garlic, red pepper, mushrooms, dried basil, chilli flakes, s&p
and top with low fat chesse.

I really wanted a 3...........

Weigh in was a little disappointing with a 2lb loss... only a little, but.. I REALLY WANTED A 3!!!  I am happy, happy that I could have a few beers and a chinese and still lose 2lb... but I did put in the effort. I worked really hard making sure that I stuck to plan and walked 5 days.  When I came out of meeting this morning I went to shop and bought my self a banana for journey home (meant to bring one with me but forgot), all the way home I was thinking about what I was going to have for lunch, planning making soup for the next few days and about the cannelloni I was gonna make for dinner.  Its all coming to me so clearly these days, it is all in the planning.

weigh in tomorrow...

Have been soooo good this week... i put in so much effort with exercise and food and then had 5 cans of Budweiser sunday evening!!! Why??? I so hope I havent undone all my good work.  I was aiming for a 3 or 4 lb loss this week as TOTM last week and only lost 1lb.. I need a good loss this week to help keep me focused and apart from the bud I do deserve one too... so fingers crossed.

Mushy pea curry...

Just back from my walk, and thought I would make mushy pea curry for dinner.

Frylite onion and garlicin frylite,
then add tin of mushy peas
and tin of chopped tomatoes
and curry powder
ready in minutes

I like my curries so was a bit dubious about it, because it sounds so strange... but I am pleasently surprised it looks and tastes yummy, had it with some sw chips.

So in the zone!

I have to say that at the moment I am so in the zone!! I am walking 2 - 3 miles most days and I really miss it if I dont get to go, which is a real turnaround, a few months ago I had to force myself to go.  I am loving the food, and cooking new things.  I am really beginning to enjoy being healthy...

Realisations...

While filling out my Weigh In page I have realised I didnt do all that bad on weightwatchers... it just felt that way because my friend was constantly losing 3 or 4 lb a week.

Also while filling in my Food Diary... AM I EATING WAY TOO MUCH!!!

This is my Journey..............

I have followed the weightwatchers points plan for a few years on and off, during which time I would lose a stone or so and would then get fed up and leave.  The last time I went back I really couldnt get my head around the new pro points system all the old point values kept popping into my head over and over. 

A friend of mine joined slimming world and I decided I would do the old ww points system myself, going to the local supermarket to stand on the scales on a wednesday morning.  Together we started our journey and we started to walk most days between 2-3 miles each evening.  Every wednesday we stood on the scales for weeks I watched my friend lose more and more while I stayed the same or lost the odd pound week after week.

During our walks we chatted about slimming world and what she was actually doing that I wasnt. It all sounded to easy so I have decided to try it out myself.
